First impressions

After reading the first paragraph of the novel, I was already wondering how the book was going to be if the moon turned out to "completely suck." This was one of the first times, I have read a futuristic/fantastic books. What about you guys? What were your first impressions and do you usually read books like this, or have you before?

My first impresstion of the book was that it was gone be set in the futuer and gona have futurtics thing like hover cars.I like the book so far, it is really good on the people uesa a little chbip in their brain to talk to other people without actually moving their mouths. This is kind of related to what kids do these days like they try to go somewhere so they can drink and smoke withoout any auldts knowing what they are doing. No not really i have not read any books like this before.

As soon as I started reading the book I knew it was going to be set in the future. as soon as Titus said he and his friends were on their way to the moon. The people in this book so far all talk like their teenagers and I think that somehow the feed has made the people dumber. Even the doctors talked like kids. The book is funny so far to me because of the words they use like "null" and "meg". I'm really not used to reading books like this so I am looking forward to seeing if I would like it by the end of the story as I do now.

Lee - glad to hear it. One of my favorite things about Scifi is the inventions and vision of the authors. I love to try to trace the inventions in reverse to see what caused these developments in society.

Alicia - I'm glad you liked it after you read on. What made you change your mind?

I like the book far an dit makes me realize that having a mind that you can controll is very good. Its makes me realize how having a brain is nolthing bad. I also think that fedd is just a way of being controlled and it also makes you dumber

When I started reading the book I knew it was going to be weird and nothing I've ever read before. The words that they used were different and it kinda interested me into reading more. The more I read the more I became confused beacuse I didn't really know anything about what they were talking about. But now I'm getting a better understanding and it's actually turning out to be an alright book opposed to what kind of books I usually read.

my first impression of the book is that it seemed like a book i could really get in to no boring parts. That the book would be more scientific and more unbelieveabul but ensted i just think he first page draws you in and the book s not as good as the beginning page.
